Sport in Mind and Campus Reading: An Award-Winning Corporate Partnership Driving Mental Health Innovation Through Sport

Sport in Mind is proud to celebrate its award-winning partnership with CAMPUS Reading, recognised with the ‘Working in Partnership’ award at the Savills Recognising Excellence Awards. At the heart of Sport in Mind’s mission is community and collaboration — and this partnership exemplifies how working together can create lasting impact.

CAMPUS Reading and Alchemy Asset Management Limited has kindly provided Sport in Mind with use of a grade 2 listed farmhouse as its new head office for a peppercorn rent and event space at CAMPUS Reading which has enabled the charity to grow, innovate, and reach more people. In return, Sport in Mind has been able to introduce unique mental health services that bring a fresh perspective to workplace wellbeing. We have provided fun one off events such as the Sport in Mind fund run and also supported long lasting change to work place wellbeing through initiatives such as Walk Talk Walk – a mental health initiative that trains CAMPUS management to lead outdoor walks, promoting connection and movement. These walks are now a valuable wellbeing resource for HR teams and occupiers.

By embedding our services at CAMPUS, we’re able to reach more people, raise awareness, and support employees, their families, and friends through referrals. Our partnership is not only improving mental health outcomes — it’s showcasing how sport can be a powerful tool for change.

Neil Harris, CEO of Sport in Mind says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive the ‘Working in Partnership’ award alongside CAMPUS Reading. This recognition highlights the power of collaboration and the incredible impact we can have when businesses and charities come together with a shared purpose. Having a permanent home at CAMPUS has enabled us to grow our services, reach more people, and continue using sport to transform lives, and in return I am absolutely delighted with the positive impact Sport in Mind is having on the wellbeing of employees across CAMPUS.”

Partnership working is at the core of what we do, and we’re proud to bring our unique identity and approach to CAMPUS Reading
