Today marks a huge milestone: Sport in Mind turns 15! That's right 15!!

When we started, the idea was simple - use the power of sport and physical activity to support people's mental health and transform their lives. Fifteen years on and seeing how far Sport in Mind has come is both humbling and inspiring, thousands of sessions delivered, countless lives saved, communities strengthened, and over 60,000 people supported. And it was all inspired by helping my childhood friend when he was struggling with his mental health.

None of this happens in isolation though. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part in this journey - our participants who show up and keep going, our brilliant staff and volunteers, our trustees, funders and donors, and the partners across sport, health, local authorities and the voluntary sector who believe in what we do and help us reach more people every year.

Thank you everyone for your commitment, your energy, and your trust. Special thanks to my co-founders for your ongoing support and belief, and the amazing NHS who have backed us since day one.

Happy 15th birthday Sport in Mind.

Here’s to building on what we’ve achieved together - and to the next chapter of breaking down stigma, widening access, and making mental health support available in places where people feel safe and included.

If you’ve been part of the story, thank you! If you’d like to get involved, partner with us, or support our work, I’d love to hear from you.
